Ethernet
The Ethernet Controller provides a 10/100Mbits Ethernet interface to an embedded system.
The DMA interface ensures a minimum software overhead with DMA driven multi-packet transmission and reception.
The Media Independent Interface [MII] (as defined in Section 22 of IEEE 802.3) is used to interface to the PHY.
The MAC address can be set under program control.
The Ethernet Controller has the following features:
- 10/100Mbtis
- IEEE 802.3
- MII Interface for the PHY
- Full or Half Duplex
- Wake-up on LAN
- Fully automatic reception and transmission
(Collision, backoff, FCS...) - DMA Interface
- Programmable interrupt generation capability
- Standard APS bus interface
